SERVICES FOR COLLECTORS & MUSEUMS COLLECTOR SERVICES • Identification - We are always glad to assist AGM customers with identification of interesting military artifacts. If something in your collection has you stumped, maybe we can help. Send good digital photos to this email account: agm6@advanceguardmilitaria.com. This service is offered free of charge for occasional use of our subscribers. If you need your entire collection collection identified, email us and we will discuss a reasonable fee... Please Note: Our item catalogers are also our buyers, and are often on the road. If you don’t hear back immediately, rest assured that they will look at your photos at their earliest opportunity. • Appraisal - We offer limited appraisal services for collectors on an hourly fee basis. The only way to do an accurate appraisal is to handle the items themselves. If you have items that could easily be shipped, that is the best method. For large collections, we will travel to your location. Our rates are $75 per hour + travel. Appraisal is not our primary business, so we are hopefully charging enough to discourage all casual requests. Appraisals requiring travel are subject to AGM’s travel and catalog schedule. If you have your collection appraised and later decide to sell your collection to AGM, your appraisal invoice will be refunded. If you elect to consign your collection, you may settle the appraisal invoice by deducting the amount from your consignor payment for convenience. MUSEUM SERVICES We offer the a package of services specially tailored to the museum community. The four main areas of support are Artifact and Interpretative Support for Exhibits, Identification, Appraisal, and our Strategic Deaccession Service. These are only available to Municipal, State, or Federally administered museums, or legitimate 501(c)3 institutions which are open to the public. If your institution is interested to know what AGM can do for you, we will be glad to send you a complete packet of information on our Museum Services.
