UPDATE: We have learned that Whiz-Bang! is not compatible with Windows 7 or Vista. It is now on the list of projects for our website guys to work on.. but that is already a rather long list. It could easily be 2012 before we have a new updated version of Whiz-Bang.

In the meantime, we will continue to send out notifications via our website email announcements. You may also have noticed that we have started to take the old catalog down on Thursday or Friday before a new one opens, replacing it on the home page with a wrapped-up cover of the new catalog and displaying the opening time countdown clock below that. At that time a news article about the new catalog is posted also. So, when you also remember that our catalogs generally open on a Monday (unless there is a holiday on Monday), it is pretty easy to stay up to date on when the new one is coming out.

As soon as a new version of Whiz-Bang! is available, we will make an announcement and have it on the website as a free download.

Download Instructions:

1) Download the file by clicking on the link above.  If you have a dial-up internet connection, this could take a while.  If you have any difficulty, email us and we will mail you a copy on CD free of charge.

Installation Instructions:

1) Find where your computer saved the file (usually in a folder called "downloads", but everyone has their computer set up a bit differently.)  Click on the file labeled "AGMWhizBang".

You will see a box with a spinning hour glass or progress bar and text "The Wise Installation Wizard is extracting files to your local computer, please wait."

At this point, you might want to go and get a snack, as this could take up to 10 minutes.  Whiz-Bang is actually a fairly small program, but it is also bundled with a Windows Installer application and Microsoft .net that are needed to install and run this service.  Many XP machines already have these, but just in case you need them we have included them in the download bundle.  If you do not need them, they will not be installed.

2) Follow the instructions on the installation wizard.

3) Restart your machine if it asks you to do so.

That’s it!  In a few minutes you will see a message window with your first incoming Whiz-Bang! message.  Since the next catalog message may still be weeks away, we wanted you to see a test message so that you would know that the installation had worked and what your message window would look like.
